Reversible Fabric Basket Sewing Pattern

The Reversible Fabric Basket is a simple, sturdy sewing project designed to give you two looks in one. Made from a single pattern piece, it is a lovely beginner-friendly make and is useful for storing sewing notions, hair clips, make-up, keys, yarn and other small everyday items.

The basket is fully reversible, so you can turn it inside out whenever you fancy a change. It can also be worn with the top folded down to show a contrasting inner fabric, or left standing up.

Pattern features:

• Beginner-friendly construction
• One main pattern piece

• Three sizes: Small, Medium and Large
• Optional quilting for extra body and texture
• ½ in (1.3 cm) seam allowance included

Finished sizes:

• Small: 3 ⅜ in square (8.5 cm) base × 2 ¾ in (7 cm) high
• Medium: 5 in square (12.8 cm) base × 4 ⅛ in (10.5 cm) high
• Large: 6 ¾ in square (17 cm) base × 5 ½ in (14 cm) high

The basket shown in the product photographs is the Medium size.

Recommended fabrics: medium-weight fabrics such as cotton, quilting cotton, linen or light canvas.

You will need: outer fabric, contrasting inner fabric, interfacing or wadding, matching thread, pins or clips, fabric scissors, an iron and a sewing machine.

Fabric requirements:

• Small: 11 in (28 cm) square each of outer fabric, inner fabric and interfacing/wadding
• Medium: 16 in (40 cm) square each
• Large: 20 in (50 cm) square each

Includes an A4 print-at-home pattern and an A1 large-format pattern file. There is no separate projector file and no layered size option. The A1 file can be projected if you prefer to work that way.

Printed Pattern – £8.99
